On Sunday 6th of August, I went to The Kia Oval to watch the Oval Invincibles face Welsh Fire in the exciting Hundred Tournament! The Kia Oval was built in 1845 and can hold up to 23, 500 people at once! We arrived just in time for the first match (the women's one) at 2:30 pm. It was an exciting match ending with a win for the guests (Welsh Fire). Then, an hour and a half later, was the men's match. This was even more exciting with a nail-biting finish. Tom Curran came in and smashed 38 (not out) of just 18 balls. He proceeded to hit 4 sixes with one bouncing off the roof and out of the stadium! It was a possible run out on the last ball, which almost gave Welsh Fire the win, but Curran managed to dive in and secure a draw.
