Virginia Water - A sea of autumn leaves

There is a stunning 2 hour walk around the lake, and endlessly beautiful scenery. The area is dog-friendly but there are certain areas where they need to be kept on leads. There are different routes you can take, but be careful on some as cars and horses are allowed on them. The well-known Savill Gardens is nearby.. Landmarks are dotted around the area; these include:

• The Cascade - a beautiful waterfall fed by the 200 year-old lake

• The Totem Pole - a gift from the people of Canada to Queen Elizabeth II

• The Leptis Magna Ruins - a replica of the abandoned town in Libya

• Five-Arch Bridge - the once wooden bridge built by the Duke of Cumberland
